John Stooshnov

April 25, 1939 - October 13, 2023

John Stooshnov (“Stoosh”) died peacefully in his sleep at age 84. A loving husband, superb father and a genuine friend for everyone who knew him.

A member of the newly formed IATSE Local 891, joining in 1965. He spent the next 50 years in the Props Department working on many films and TV shows earning him an Honorary Lifetime Membership. Later, John joined IATSE 118 working on various stage productions and concerts. He eventually became Head Carpenter at the Orpheum Theatre. John was lucky to have thoroughly enjoyed every job he had within IATSE. He was a proud member until retirement.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 7th, 2024 from 1 - 5 PM.
