It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you of the passing of Member Richard Haughian

On February 10th 2020. Richard Joined Local 118 back in 2014, he worked primarily up in
Penticton and the South Okanagan Event Centre (SOEC).

Update provided by Brother Gord Osland Crew chief at the SOEC.

SOEC Event Manager Brian Manor asked for a few words about Richard to be played with a
picture collage on the jumbotron at the Penticton Vees game. Simultaneously, Local IA
members, Discovery House clients and family members will be recognized on the ice between
periods.

"Beloved SOEC IATSE lighting, Audio technician and Carpenter, Richard Haughian,
passed away peacefully on Monday Feburary 10th. Richard loved working on all the
SOEC shows and was a regular spot operator for Junior A Vees games.
Gone far too soon, Richard was a star volunteer for Kidsfest, GrandFondo and the
Saturday Market.

Loved and respected in the Recovery community, Richard helped hundreds of men get
clean and sober at Discovery House.
He made a huge difference in our city - Richard will be dearly missed.
